Duramax Marine, LLC Propulsion Shaft Bearing Assemblies

The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center is proceeding with a five-year requirements-type contract for the procurement of propulsion shaft bearing assemblies and associated components exclusively from Duramax Marine, LLC, the sole original equipment manufacturer for these critical parts used on the 154’ Waterways Patrol Craft fleet. The contract includes firm-fixed pricing for five specific line items: two forward stave bearing assemblies, a forward stave bearing parts kit, a forward stave bearing split external retaining ring kit, and an aft stave bearing split external retaining ring kit, all identified by specific part numbers and NSNs and meeting MIL-DTL-17901C Class III specifications. The contract incorporates an economic price adjustment clause and is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures as a commercial item acquisition per FAR Subpart 13.5, with award to be made on the lowest priced quotation among those that meet the mandatory requirement to provide genuine OEM parts. All items must be individually preserved, packaged, and marked in strict accordance with MIL-STD-2073, MIL-STD-2073-1E Method 10, and MIL-STD-129R, including barcoding with both Code 39 linear and PDF417 2D formats, and shipped F.O.B. destination to the USCG facility in Baltimore, Maryland. Onsite quality assurance inspections by government personnel are required at the vendor’s facility prior to shipment, with 100% dimensional and completeness verification against OEM drawings and specifications, followed by final acceptance at destination to confirm no transit damage and full compliance with packaging and marking standards. The contractor must maintain an inspection system compliant with ANSI/ASQ Q9001 and a calibration program traceable to NIST per ANSI/ISO/IEC 17025. All offers must be submitted electronically by June 12, 2026, with six required attachments including a technical capabilities statement attesting to OEM authenticity, a completed schedule of supplies and prices, warranty information, and a subcontracting plan, and must include full SAM registration, UEI, CAGE code, and completed representations and certifications per FAR 52.212-3.
