The Project consists of: Remove and replace posts and beams throughout various locations of the Piedmont Hills covered walkway. Remove forty (40) 12”x12” cover walk posts. Clean all existing post wood from footing. Fill footing with concrete and set/install Simpson CB1010 at each location. Replace forty (40) post with 10”x10” pressure treated. Remove 550’ lineal feet of 6”x12” beams. Replace 550’ 6”x12” lineal feet pressure treated beams. Remove and replace 300’ lineal feet of 4”x6” pressure treated joists. Removal and replacement of timber to be in various locations throughout the Piedmont Hills High School covered walkway. Raise covered walk to align with existing elevation. Structurally fasten new and existing 4”x6” joists to new 6”x12” beams. Supply and install new bolts and nuts where existing column caps remain. Shore covered walk during replacement of posts, beams and joists. Paint all new work with Dunn Edwards paint.
