Earlimart Sheriff Substation Paving Project

The Earlimart Sheriff Substation Paving Project, managed by the Tulare County General Service Agency and the Resource Management Agency, involves the comprehensive rehabilitation of parking areas at 159 Valente Rd., Earlimart, California. The scope of work includes the removal of deteriorated oiled sand and asphalt material, the installation of a new aggregate base to ensure long-term durability, and the application of new asphalt concrete paving. Additionally, the project will incorporate drought tolerant landscaping and the construction of on-site storm water retention basins, which will require moderate grading adjustments. The project is classified as repair and maintenance under CEQA Guidelines Class 1 Section 15301 for Existing Facilities and is exempt from certain environmental reviews. A critical requirement of the project is the preservation of existing ADA parking and paths of travel, which must remain undisturbed. The primary beneficiaries of these improvements are law enforcement personnel and the general public.
