East Cypress Road Widening Project (CIP 302 & 310) (Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. EPIMS-CCA-57357-R3)

The East Cypress Road Widening Project (CIP 302 & 310) is authorized under Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. EPIMS-CCA-57357-R3, executed by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) for the City of Oakley. Pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project allows for roadway expansion in Contra Costa County, specifically impacting two connected perennial wetlands and one unnamed tributary to Little Dutch Slough. The scope of work includes clearing, cutting, and filling to expand the roadway, sawcutting and removing existing pavement, and clearing and grubbing vegetation in wetland and riparian areas to be leveled and paved. As part of the preparatory work, two California black walnut and three Goodding's black willow trees were removed along the tributary. The project was formally approved on August 12, 2025, with the determination that it will not significantly affect the environment within the CDFW's jurisdiction.
