SCOPE OF WORK The City is seeking bid proposals from qualified Contractors to remove and replace a portion of the existing sidewalk at EJ Miller Park. The scope of work shall include the following: • Remove the existing 4 foot wide cement concrete sidewalk, City personnel will mark the limits of sidewalk to be removed, the estimated length is 216 lineal feet • Load the concrete into City owned dump trucks, City personnel will dispose of the concrete materials • Excavate and widened the subgrade to accommodate new 5 foot wide sidewalk, 4 inch thick. Excavated depth shall be approximately 2 inches below existing subgrade. Excavated material shall be saved for landscape restoration on both sides of the sidewalk • Grade and compact subgrade, a City Inspector will verify subgrade compaction • Haul, place, grade and compact 2 inches of crushed surfacing top course, a City Inspector will verify the top course compaction • Form and pour cement concrete sidewalk 5 foot wide, 4 inch thick, cement concrete shall be 6 sack mix, 564 lbs of cement per cubic yard • Landscape restoration on both sides of sidewalk – Contractor shall place the excavated material from subgrade work along the sides of the completed sidewalk MEASUREMENT There is no unit of measurement for the work to be completed as this will be by the Lump Sum. PAYMENT Payment for the work to be performed by the Contractor will be by the “Lump Sum” and is outlined as follows: • EJ Miller Sidewalk Complete, per Lump Sum The Lump Sum contract price for the above-mentioned item shall include all materials, tools, equipment, and labor to complete the required work as outlined.
