Eleanor Bridge Interim Repair Project

The Eleanor Bridge Interim Repair Project, managed by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and the City and County of San Francisco, involves critical infrastructure restoration in California. The primary scope of work includes replacing a damaged one to two inch thick concrete overlay on the bridge deck with a new composite system consisting of methacrylate primer and impervious polyester polymer concrete, along with minor repairs to the bridge soffit. Phase 2 of the project extends the scope to include concrete repairs on the downstream side of the dam, specifically targeting the piers and spillway bays. Additional work will be performed on the foundation of the diversion or training wall, various arches atop the reservoir, and the concrete gravity wall sections located on the upstream side of the dam. This project has been granted a categorical exemption under CEQA Class 1, Section 15301, with final approval issued in July 2026.
