Eleanor Bridge Interim Repair Project

The Eleanor Bridge Interim Repair Project involves replacing the existing damaged 1-2 inch thick concrete overlay on the bridge deck with a new composite overlay made of impervious polyester polymer concrete and methacrylate primer to enhance durability and water resistance. Additional minor repairs will be conducted on the soffit of the bridge to address structural concerns and maintain overall integrity. The project also includes targeted concrete repairs on specific areas of the downstream spillway bays and piers, the foundation of the training or diversion weir, certain arches above the reservoir, and sections of the west and east gravity walls on the upstream side of the dam. These repairs aim to stabilize critical components and extend the service life of the infrastructure. The project is managed by the City and County of San Francisco with Timothy Johnston serving as the primary point of contact and Kelly Yong as the project applicant. The forecast was posted on August 10, 2026, and all work is expected to take place in California.
