The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, is seeking information from capable vendors regarding VME Chassis and related supplies used specifically in the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS) versions AN/SWG-5(V)3 and AN/SWG-5(V)4. This critical hardware component, manufactured by Tracewell, is uniquely designed to fit the form factor required for Tomahawk systems and has been a fixture on all ships equipped with Tomahawk missiles for over a decade. The VME Chassis supports tactical operations and legacy communications on surface destroyers, cruisers, and guided missile submarines, housed in controlled Navy environments such as the Tomahawk Equipment Room or Command Information Center. The chassis must comply with stringent military specifications including Grade-A shock, EMI, noise emission standards, and maintain backward compatibility to ensure seamless integration with existing systems. No alternative parts are approved, underscoring the specialized nature of this equipment. This Request for Information (RFI) is intended to gather data about industry capabilities, resources, and technical qualifications to perform future procurement and installation work described in the Statement of Work. Respondents are asked to provide company details, contact information, and insights into any challenges related to delivering the required parts. While there is currently no funding or solicitation associated with this notice, responses will help inform potential future solicitations under a total small business set-aside. Vendors are reminded that the government will not reimburse any costs associated with responding to the RFI, and proprietary information must be clearly identified to ensure confidentiality. Responses were due by February 17, 2016, with shipments and communications directed to Port Hueneme, California, under the NAICS code 238210. Key points of contact include Contract Specialist Margaret Best and Contracting Officer Raymond Chang.
