Atlanta Public Schools is soliciting proposals for district-wide electrical services, including the maintenance, repair, renovation, and installation of electrical systems on an as-needed basis. The scope of work covers both indoor and outdoor tasks at various facilities and requires the use of copper wire and cables unless otherwise approved. Key performance requirements include a four-hour response time for emergency requests and a minimum one-year warranty on all labor and materials. The contract is structured for an initial one-year term with four optional one-year renewals. Bidders must provide detailed pricing via Exhibit A, covering labor rates for apprentices, journeymen, and master electricians, as well as unit costs for various installations such as lighting, outlets, and generators. Qualified contractors must adhere to strict safety and security protocols, including OSHA compliance, the use of required protective gear, and the prominent display of APS badges. Employees are required to sign into the district's visitor management system and are prohibited from fraternizing with students or faculty. Additionally, contractors are responsible for background check fees and must maintain specific insurance coverage, including at least $1,000,000 in automobile liability and $1,000,000 per occurrence in umbrella liability. Proposals must be submitted online through the Bonfire portal no later than October 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. ET. Submissions must include several required documents, such as the E-Verify Affidavit of Compliance, the Offeror Inclusion Form, and the completed Pricing Cost Sheet.
