The U.S. Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA plans to issue a sole source purchase order to Intercorr International, located in Houston, TX, for specialized electrochemical corrosion monitoring equipment. The order includes a variety of instruments such as two field CET instruments housed in explosion-proof enclosures, a radio communication system configured with one master and two slave units, and a solar power unit complete with batteries, panels, and control equipment. Additionally, the contract comprises software for field CET data management, multiple electrochemical corrosion probes of bayonet and flange types, and sets of electrodes designed for these probes. All items are to be delivered to the Albany Research Center in Albany, OR. Intercorr International is identified as the only known commercial source capable of providing Electrochemical Noise (EN), Linear Polarization Resistance (LPR), and Harmonic Distortion Analysis (HDA) equipment, which justifies the sole source acquisition without solicitation. Any inquiries related to this procurement can be directed to Mr. Thomas J. Gruber via fax or email. This contract supports advanced corrosion sensor system technologies crucial for energy-related research and monitoring applications.
