Full Description

The Department of Homeland Security, Office of Procurement Operations, intends to issue a purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), 1 Batterymarch Park Quincy, MA 02169-7454 for electronic access to the NFPA codes. This purchase order will be issued on a sole source basis and will have a period of performance of one year, beginning on 09/01/2009 and ending on 08/31/2010. Access to these census codes is required to ensure DHS' continuing knowledge of and compliance with current facility codes and standards related to installations of sprinkler systems, electrical safety and fire alarms. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because the NFPA is the developer and sole distributor of the National fire codes and safety standards. Responses and questions should be directed in writing via e-mail to Contract Specialist Elizabeth Walsh at Elizabeth.Walsh@dhs.gov or to Contracting Officer Johnnie Lewis-Banks at Johnnie.Lewis-Banks@dhs.gov.
