Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a one (1) year noncompetitive procurement for elevator conveyance system inspections, to Suncoast Elevator Inspections of Florida LLC in the amount of $60,000.00 for the Facilities Management and Real Estate Servies Department. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-208(8) of the County’s Procurement Policy as State and Federal requirements maintain that the elevator inspector responsible for the initial inspections must oversee the project until repairs are complete, and inspection is cleared. The services are required as contractor has already performed work on the various sites, and it would not be practical to engage another contractor. Suncoast Elevator Inspections of Florida LLC has performed initial elevator inspections and required repairs were identified; therefore, making this service required as to maintain compatibility with the previously performed work, and the service is only reasonably available from one (1) source, Suncoast Elevator Inspections of Florida LLC. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly. Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and/or services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached quote must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project. After this date, an award will be made.
