Elevator Installation

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Eastern Currency Facility is seeking on a small business set-aside basis, provided that two (2) or more qualified small businesses respond to this sources sought synopsis with information sufficient to support a set-aside. Be advised that BEP will not be able to set aside this requirement if two (2) or more small businesses do not respond with information to support the set-aside. We encourage all small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantaged Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement to install one interior freight elevator at the BEP. The contemplated procurement will include the installation of one elevator and associated equipment to include demolition work, exterior masonry work, and interior renovation. Responses to this sources sought notice are due no later than 06 April 2016. Contractors will be expected to accomplish demolition, renovation, additions/upgrades, along with specific work in electrical, mechanical, masonry and other major trades. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000.00 and $ 5,000,000.00 THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. All offerors are advised that this project may be revised or canceled at any time during the sources sought, synopsis, solicitation, selection, evaluation, negotiation, and final award. Work to be performed under the contemplated contract will be within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 238990 with a size standard of $15,000,000.00. In responding to this sources sought, please indicate your: (1) interest as a prime contractor, teaming partner, joint venture, and indicate (2) whether or not your company is a small business. (3) Brief description of your firms past experience in Construction trades, (4) overall Bonding Capacity, and (5) company information (name, point of contact phone number/email). The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package.
