The General Services Administration is seeking a qualified elevator contractor to provide performance-based maintenance and related services for four federal locations in Ohio: the Kinneary US Courthouse, the Bricker Federal Building, the Bricker Parking Garage in Columbus, and the Rice Federal Building and US Courthouse in Dayton. The scope of work includes onsite preventive maintenance, service repairs, inspection reports, and responding to entrapments to ensure the safety of building operations and the preservation of government assets. The contract structure consists of a one-year base period with four one-year options, with performance monitored through the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System. Technical requirements mandate compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, specifically adhering to ASME A17.2-2014 standards for both electric traction and hydraulic elevators. Contractors must follow a strict Quality Control Plan and be aware of the government's Quality Assurance Plan. Due to the nature of the facilities, contractors are notified of the presence of asbestos-containing materials at all sites to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Award decisions are based on a combination of past performance and price, requiring bidders to demonstrate their ability to manage similar commercial or government facilities.
