Milford Township is soliciting sealed bids for a turnkey replacement of the emergency standby power system at the Municipal Building located at 2100 Krammes Road, Quakertown, Pennsylvania. The project involves the removal and disposal of an existing 60 kW generator and manual transfer equipment, the replacement of an undersized concrete pad with a new reinforced equipment pad, and the installation of a new 130 kW diesel-fueled standby generator. The scope includes a new 400-amp automatic transfer switch, consolidated utility service entrance equipment, all necessary electrical work, and a full initial fill of ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel. The installation must meet NFPA 110 level 2 compliance or greater and be EPA-certified for stationary use. Bids must be submitted online via PennBid by October 30, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. using forms provided by the Township. Required submission documents include a non-collusion affidavit, a 10% bid bond or certified check, and 100% performance and payment bonds. Qualified bidders must demonstrate experience with comparable industrial or governmental installations and identify a factory-authorized service organization for warranty and emergency support. The award will be based on a single lump-sum turnkey price. Final acceptance is contingent upon a successful two-hour resistive load-bank test and the delivery of closeout documents, including as-built electrical diagrams and a minimum two-year manufacturer's warranty.
