The National Guard Bureau is hosting the 2012 Domestic Preparedness Workshop and Joint Domestic Operations Equipment Requirements Conference from February 21 to 23, 2012, at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, MD. This event aims to bring together field-level experts to identify critical equipment shortfalls in domestic operations aligned with FEMA's Emergency Support Functions. The conference will facilitate discussions and development of solutions to address these gaps, with findings reported to senior National Guard leadership and documented in the Annual JDOERs Book. Vendors with relevant equipment that supports various domestic operations such as transportation, communications, public works, firefighting, mass care, medical services, search and rescue, HAZMAT response, public safety, and incident awareness are invited to exhibit their capabilities on the exhibit floor. Vendor participation is on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to those with equipment directly related to domestic operations. Registration must be submitted by January 15, 2012, and selected vendors will receive an Exhibitor Service Kit and be notified within five business days of registration. While vendors may demonstrate equipment in the exhibit area, access beyond this space is restricted, with individual briefing sessions arranged at the discretion of the working group chair. It is important to note that this announcement does not constitute a contract or promise to contract, and the government will not cover any costs incurred by vendors for participation. For registration and further information, points of contact are provided, with vendor materials and updated documentation accessible online through the National Guard Bureau’s resources.
