The Medical Readiness Contracting Office - Pacific, in support of MEDCOM, intends to make a sole source award to Surgical Science - Simbionix for a firm fixed price contract for one (1) Endo Mentor Simulator System for Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339112. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) which authorizes the Government to award contracts when there is only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements.
