AMENDMENT TO RESPONSE DEADLINE CLOSING TIME: All required supporting documentation and bid submission must be submitted by July 12, 2023at2:00pm DST. RequirementProvide in-service support to the dam de-icing piping at Rideau Falls. This requirement concerns only the pipe system for dam de-icing, from the valve chamber at the West Dam to the farthest end of the East Dam, but not including the underground piping on Green Island (see Figure 16). "In-service support" consists of: assistance during start-up of the system and its shut-down (system checks, manipulating drain and vent valves); annual cleaning, condensate purging, and filling pipe with nitrogen after the de-icing season; annual inspections and reports; ultrasonic thickness testing in years 1 and 5; and, repairs on an as-and-when required basis, which may include repair work to be done outside of regular working hours. There is a Mandatory Site Visit associated with this requirement where personnel security screening is required prior to gaining access to PROTECTED information, assets or sites.Consult Part 2 – Bidder Instructions
