Canada requires the temporary, exclusive, use two unmanned barges with articulating boom (knuckle boom) cranes and grapples. Barges may be either self-propelled, or not (and if not, Canada will manoeuvre them with Crown-owned tugs). Contractor is providing the barge-crane equipment only; Canada’s Damkeepers will operate Contractor’s equipment for debris-clearing operations at St. Andrew’s Lock and Dam. All voyages undertaken by the barges will be “minor waters” voyages to Vessel Safety Certificates Regulations and Home-Trade, Inland and Minor Waters Voyages Regulations, and entirely confined to the area around the St. Andrew’s Dam. Voyages will be undertaken in daylight hours only. Rental is for the follow period: May 15 to October 22 (inclusive) 2026 – two (2) barges Policy on Reciprocal Procurement: This solicitation of offers is open only to Canadian suppliers and to Suppliers of an applicable trading partner. The requirement is conditionally limited to Canadian services. Offerors must complete the Canadian Content certification in the Offeror Declaration Form.
