eQIP Storage Area Network (SAN) Maintenance

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constituted the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is OPM32-10-T-0006 and is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). This solicitation document incorporates all mandatory commercial item provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-44 dated July 8, 2010. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 423430, and the small business size standard is 100 employees. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), located at 1900 E Street NW, Washington, DC, is seeking quotations for maintenance of Dell Storage Area Network (SAN) Servers used to backup data for the Federal Investigative Services Division eQIP applications. Vendor shall provide maintenance support services in support of the eQIP Storage Area Network (SAN) used for primary storage of live eQIP data for a period of one year. The OPM intends to issue a firm-fixed-price purchase order with a period of performance of July 28, 2010 through July 27, 2011 for maintenance on the equipment listed in the attached Bill of Materials. All components must be Dell products and services. Only authorized resellers of Dell products and services may submit a quote. Offerors are invited to submit their quotations to the OPM Contracting Group in response to this notice no later than 12:00 PM Eastern Time, July 21, 2010. Quotations submitted in response to this notice by email and should include the solicitation number (OPM32-10-T-0006) in the subject line, be signed, and dated. Quotes can be sent to contact@example.gov. OPM is not requiring a specific format for the quotes, but quotes should clearly indicate that the vendor is providing a quote for all items listed on the attached Bill of Materials. It is anticipated that award will be made to the offeror providing the lowest priced technically acceptable (LP/TA) quote. Vendors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the time the requirement is to be awarded will not be considered. Vendors may register with CCR by calling +1 (555) 000-0000 or by accessing www.ccr.gov. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors should include, with their quotes, a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Item. The clauses at 52-121-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and shall be incorporated into any resulting award. Additionally, the attached OPM Specific Clauses will also be incorporated into the award.
