Evidence and DNA Testing Services

The City of Charlotte has issued solicitation RFP 269-2027-034 for Evidence and DNA Testing Services to support the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The selected contractor will be responsible for screening and STR/Y STR DNA testing of evidence from homicide and sexual assault cases, including the processing of sexual assault kits and partial tested kits. Additionally, the city maintains the right to audit billing and performance records in Charlotte, North Carolina, and requires the contractor to provide test-related data and quality control documentation in accordance with North Carolina discovery statutes for cases involving expert testimony.
