Managed Attribution Systems (Chameleon)The Drug Enforcement Administration’s Cyber Support Section is seeking to modernize its Internet-based investigative capabilities through the acquisition of a Managed Attribution System, codenamed Chameleon. This system aims to provide standardized, secure, and scalable tools for agents and analysts to conduct online research, attribute digital activities, and collect and preserve electronic evidence in compliance with legal standards. As drug trafficking organizations increasingly rely on the Internet and Dark Web platforms for communications and transactions, the DEA requires advanced technological infrastructure to effectively monitor, track, and dismantle these criminal networks through lawful, forensically sound methods. The solution must be deployable across the entire agency to ensure uniformity, reliability, and operational readiness in a rapidly evolving digital threat environment.
