Category of Contract: Consultants or Professional Services (96258) Contract Number: RFP 50449.01 Title: Water Perimeter Security Zone Buoy System Maintenance and Repair Services Proposal Due: 9/18/2026 Time Due: 3:00 PM Duration: 5 Years Estimated Cost: TBD Description: The Airport is seeking qualified suppliers (“Proposers”) to provide proposals (“Proposal”) for SFO’s Water Perimeter Security Zone Buoy System (“System”) maintenance and repair services (“Services”). The System provides a visual barrier delineating the RESTRICTED AREA – KEEP OUT zone around the airport shoreline. The existing System is comprised of twenty-two (22) float collar buoys that each have a 2,000-pound reinforced concrete anchor block with embedded 316L stainless steel chain, a 10-foot round sling connecting the buoy to the chain, and a Sealite SL-60 2-3 nautical-mile solar powered light. The float collar buoys are located 200 yards from the shoreline around the entire Airport spanning approximately five (5) miles. Since the System’s installation in 2004, maintenance inspections and repairs have been conducted on the anchoring hardware and buoy system.
