The San Francisco International Airport is soliciting proposals for a 14-year lease of two travel convenience retail spaces located in Terminal 3 West, Boarding Area F, totaling approximately 2,860 square feet. Space A is an inline newsstand/convenience store of about 2,300 square feet, part of the Phase 2 leasing plan, while Space B is a smaller, 560-square-foot news/travel convenience wall concept, part of Phase 1. The lease does not include any options to extend beyond the initial 14 years. Rent is structured as a Minimum Annual Guarantee (MAG) combined with percentage rent based on gross revenues: 14% up to $500,000, 16% for revenues between $500,000 and $1,000,000, and 18% above $1,000,000. The base rent each year will be the greater of the MAG or the calculated percentage rent. The projected contract value totals approximately $14.56 million based on the MAG over the full lease term. The RFP process includes a pre-bid conference scheduled for December 3, 2025, and a proposal submission deadline of April 15, 2026, with an anticipated award date in June 2026. Proposers must follow strict submission protocols including electronic submission in PDF format and delivery of original proposal deposits as required. The evaluation factors emphasize the proposed retail concept’s appeal, its reflection of San Francisco’s culture, merchandising plans, and design quality, with awards based on a best-value trade-off approach rather than price alone. Proposers must meet minimum qualifications, demonstrate financial capability, and comply with a comprehensive set of lease provisions covering operational standards, labor harmony, nondiscrimination, local hiring preferences, environmental and sustainability requirements (including LEED certification), safety regulations, and prohibition of certain packaging materials. Detailed contract conditions outline compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, health and safety laws, and airport policies. The lease incorporates strict requirements for operational and environmental standards, emphasizing sustainability, labor conditions, and customer experience, with ongoing oversight and mandatory reporting to ensure compliance throughout the lease term. Evelyn Reyes-Dizadji is the designated primary contact for inquiries.

Solicitation # SFO-LIVE-aviation-support-services
The San Francisco International Airport, acting through the City and County of San Francisco, is soliciting service providers for Aviation Support Services under solicitation SFO-LIVE-aviation-support-services. This permit allows authorized providers to perform a wide range of aircraft and airport operations, including aircraft cleaning, water and lavatory services, catering, cargo and mail handling, custodial services for ramp and terminal areas, and maintenance of aircraft, jetbridges, and baggage handling systems. To obtain a permit, providers must first be sponsored by an existing SFO airline sponsor and undergo a comprehensive onboarding process that can take four to six months. This process includes a review of proposed services, certification through the Airport Quality Standards Program, and the execution of a formal permit agreement. Operational requirements are stringent, requiring adherence to federal Transportation Security Regulations and the Airport Ground Support Equipment Safety Inspection Program. Personnel must meet specific educational and competency standards, and those operating vehicles on the airfield must possess a valid driver's license and pass required security training. The permit is contingent upon the provider maintaining comprehensive insurance coverage, including Workers' Compensation and General Liability, and providing a security deposit. Financial obligations include a monthly permit fee due on the first of each month. The permit remains in effect until revoked or terminated, with the Airport Director maintaining the right to revoke the permit upon thirty days' notice.
