General labour required on an “as and when requested” basis. Work would include: cleaning beaver screens on culverts along the Alaska Highway, snow removal done with the use of a loader or skidsteer at the Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) Airport compound, seasonal yard cleaning and clearing at the PSPC Airport compound, repair or replace signs along the Alaska Highway on the direction of PSPC staff, right of way clean up.
As well as yearly maintenance and ongoing winter/summer custodial work of Sand/Salt structures located at km 162 Wonowon, km 254 Sikanni, km 366 Prophet River (Adsett), km 445 Fort Nelson, Fort Nelson Airport, km 538 Steamboat, km 648 Toad River, km 696 Muncho, km 762.5 Liard, km 839 Fireside, km 922 Iron Creek. There are 3 Overhead bridges located at km 584.6 (Tetsa River #1 Bridge), km 627.8 (McDonald River Bridge), and km 641.1 (Racing River Bridge) that need visual inspections, and signs replaced. There are twelve large information/warning signs from km 133 – km 968 that require signs to be replaced or upgraded.
