The Department of Defense, through the DLA Aviation Procurement Operations at Warner Robins, is conducting market research to identify potential manufacturers for the F-15 Variable Inlet Ramp (Diffuser), Left Hand, identified by NSN 1560-01-621-1723FX. This specific component is critical for controlling airflow to enhance engine performance and is used exclusively on F-15 E and EX model aircraft. Due to a lack of government-owned technical data, drawings, or schematics, the government intends to award a sole-source contract to The Boeing Company, as they are currently the only known source with the necessary technical expertise and data to ensure equipment compatibility. While the government intends to proceed with Other Than Full and Open Competition, other interested parties may submit their capabilities and interest to the designated points of contact by October 23, 2026.
