DLA Aviation is conducting market research through a combined Request for Information and Synopsis for the procurement of 20 F-16 Data Transfer Units, part number D7621000001-01. The estimated delivery schedule is 18 months after receipt of order, with the items intended for FMS customers. This action is not a formal request for proposal or a commitment to contract, but rather an effort to identify capable sources and enhance competition. The requirement is not expected to be set aside for small businesses, as the government has determined that supplies are available from a limited number of responsible sources and the necessary technical data is not government-owned. Interested parties are encouraged to submit capability statements or quotations. While foreign participation is prohibited at the prime contractor level, the government is open to identifying commercial items that can satisfy the requirement.
