F-16 Link-16 ATS

The Air Armament Center, Enterprise Acquisition Contracting Test & Evaluation Branch, AAC/PKE, intends to issue a contract modification under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to an existing five year sole source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with Lockheed Martin Corporation, Fort Worth TX to increase the maximum potential contract value from $2.25M to $9.5M. No funds will be obligated with this modification. The basic contract was awarded 11 Sep 07. The nature of the requirement, the contracting activity and all other aspects of the original contract remain unchanged. This contract provides for, but is not limited to, any software or hardware updates required for the F-16 Link-16/LVT-1 Avionics Test Station (ATS) built by Lockheed Martin and installed at the Eglin AFB Datalinks Test Facility (DTF). The DTF F-16 ATS operational flight program mirrors that of the USAF operational F-16s and it is essential that it receive the same updates as operational F-16s. Lockheed Martin is the only company that builds the F-16 ATS and writes the proprietary software code it uses. There is no other known company that has the detailed knowledge necessary to provide this essential support. No government owned technical data package exists to provide to other companies.
