In Fiscal Year 2005, the US Forest Service, IDAWY Acquisition Service Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho is planning to award a multi-year or 5-years Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract for precommercial tree thinning. In the urban interface areas, some of the acres will also require slash treatment by hand piling. The work will involve thinning stands that are approximately 20-25 years of age and approximately 10-20 feet tall and at spacing of 11' x 11.' The stands to be treated will be determined at a later date and based upon budget constraints.
