Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) requires a real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) instrument and accessories for measures of DNA concentrations to support environmental DNA (eDNA) analysis. DFO is increasing in-house capacity to use eDNA for freshwater monitoring and requires a qPCR instrument with additional features that are currently unavailable to the program. The qPCR instrument and related accessories will be used for research and development of eDNA to support its use by DFO as a tool for salmon and fish habitat assessments.
