The objective of the contract is to refloat and recovery, lightering bulk pollutants, removal from the marine environment and storage of the vessel. The Contractor must store the vessel for a minimum period of 90 days or until advised by Canada that storage is no longer required. The “Black Pearl (“Vessel”) is an approximately 75 foot, landing craft that is currently submerged at Southern Arakun Island, Tofino, BC. The approximate location of the vessel is 49° 10.458' N, 125° 53.308' W. There is approximately 300 liters of diesel onboard.The Canadian Coast Guard (“CCG”) Marine Environmental & Hazards Response (“MEHR”) determined that the Vessels are a threat to the marine and terrestrial environments.
