The Military Sealift Command Norfolk is seeking eligible business to whom can provide the fabrication of Stern Tube and Intermediate Shaft Sleeves for the T-AOE Class Propulsion Shafting due December 31, 2014. All materials to be certified dimensionally and for physical characteristics. A minimum of 0.250 inches of excess material shall be left on the OD and ID to allow for field fitting. The sleeves shall be provided un-split, and the notes on Sheet 4 of the drawing shall be adhered to. ABS shall witness testing and measurement. Delivery location is Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, 23511. Estimated issue date of this solicitation is on/about October 28, 2014. After issuance, solicitation may be obtained on the FBO website www.fbo.gov. All Small businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. The appropriate NAICS Code is 541330.
