Fabrication, Permitting, and Installation of Walton County Gateway Signs (6 Locations)

Walton County is soliciting bids for the fabrication, permitting, and installation of monument-style gateway signs at six designated locations: SR 83 North, US 331 North, SR 20 East, SR 20 West, US 98 East, and US 98 West. The project aims to replace aging signage with designs that reflect the county's coastal identity and meet wind-load standards for high-velocity hurricane zones. The scope of work includes the removal or relocation of existing signs at five sites, with SR 20 West requiring new construction and full foundation preparation. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary County building, structural, electrical, and FDOT right-of-way permits, as well as providing PE-stamped structural drawings. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, most responsible, and responsive bidder. Evaluation criteria include the bidder's financial ability, past performance record, and the provision of documentation regarding similar previous projects. The project timeline requires work to begin within ten business days of the Notice to Proceed, with substantial completion defined as ninety percent complete within 180 calendar days. Final completion must occur within 15 calendar days after the issuance of a punch list.
