Amendment 0001 is hereby issued to incorporate the Government's responses to vendor questions and provide photos of current security doors.


This is solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with FAR part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.


This acquisition IS set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.


Solicitation number 15BBNF26Q00000072 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), for: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, FCI Sandstone located at 2300 County Rd. 29, Sandstone, MN 55072, intends to issue a solicitation for the following requirement:


FCI Sandstone intends to make a single award to a responsible entity that will provide delivery of detention‑grade hollow metal security doors and frames in accordance with the attached Statement of Work for Project 26Z4AN3 – Replace Security Doors. This requirement is supply‑only; no installation or onsite work is included. The contractor shall furnish all materials, fabrication, and delivery necessary to provide the specified door assemblies, including double doors, single doors, fire‑rated doors, and associated frames. All products must comply with applicable standards including HMMA 863, ASTM F1450, ASTM A366, NFPA 80, and other specifications identified in the SOW. Equal products may be submitted with complete technical data for Government review.


Delivery shall be made to FCI Sandstone, 2300 County Road 29, Sandstone, MN 55072, during normal receiving hours. This acquisition will be conducted as a commercial supply procurement under NAICS 332321 (Metal Window and Door Manufacturing).


The Government anticipates awarding a firm‑fixed‑price contract. Award will be made to the responsible vendor whose quotation conforms to the solicitation and is determined to be Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). Technical acceptability and price will be evaluated in accordance with the solicitation.The solicitation will be made available on or about April 27, 2026, and will be posted to the GPE website at www.sam.gov. All future information related to this acquisition, including any solicitation amendments and award notices, will also be disseminated through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information regarding this solicitation.


Registration in SAM: Each offeror must be registered in www.SAM.gov and must complete the necessary representations and certifications in SAM at the time of submitting their quotation.


Quotation Deadline: The anticipated closing date for receipt of quotations is May 18, 2026, at 12:00 pm Central Time.


Payment Terms: Payment will be processed via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) in accordance with 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer- System for Award Management.
