The Choctaw Nation Housing Authority is soliciting bids for comprehensive roof and structural repairs on a 1500 square foot, 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom brick home located in Atoka, Oklahoma, with a slab-on-grade foundation. The scope includes full removal of all existing shingles, felt, roof jacks, drip edge, and attic ventilation, followed by inspection and repair or replacement of roof decking as necessary. A new 30-year architectural shingle system must be installed along with 30# felt, new drip edge, roof jacks including high-heat versions for gas appliance penetrations, proper flashing, and a continuous ridge vent, which may require cutting the peak decking to ensure adequate airflow. All ventilation penetrations must be sealed, and caulking and sealing must be completed to ensure a watertight finish. The homeowner will select the shingle color, and the contractor is responsible for all measurements, material calculations, line locates, permits, and thorough cleanup, including restoration of the yard to mowing condition. In addition to roofing, the work includes repairing or replacing any damaged vinyl siding around the structure and patching or replacing all compromised drywall on walls and ceilings with new ½-inch material, followed by taping, bedding, texturing, and painting to match surrounding surfaces. The homeowner will determine all paint colors. Contractors must conduct a mandatory site visit prior to bidding; any issues that could have been identified during this visit will not justify change orders. All work must comply with the 2019 International Residential Code and require applicable licenses.
