Fiber Optic Cable

The U.S. Coast Guard Sector Seattle intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 (2)(iii)(B) to City of Seattle Department of Information Technology, Seattle, WA 98104. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The City of Seattle Department of Information Technology is the only known source to connect to the existing fiber optic and extend so that the network will support information sharing requirements between the U.S. Coast Guard Sector, District 13 and the organizations attached to the City of Seattle fiber network owned and operated by the city of Seattle. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00p.m.on September 15th, 2009. This office is utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Part 13, and Policies in Part 12, Acquisitions of Commercial Items and will result in the issuance of one (1) purchase order. This acquisition is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 517110. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation no further solicitation will be issued for this requirement. The Solicitation Number is HSCG33-09-339SNA626. This Notice of Intent is not a Request for Competitive Quotations. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government.
