The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) plans to enter into a sole source contract with the city of Austin for a fiber optic lease to maintain TSA’s network connectivity at Austin Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). This contract will be awarded under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation for a five-year period, consisting of a one-year base term plus four one-year options. The lease involves twelve single mode fiber strands with associated cross connections to support continuous TSA IT and End User Services Division operations within TSA-occupied spaces at AUS. This action is not a solicitation for competitive quotes but serves as a formal notice indicating the Government’s intent to procure exclusively from the city of Austin. Interested parties are invited to demonstrate their interest and capability in providing this service by submitting detailed technical information by June 23, 2026. Responses must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would benefit the Government, be no longer than two pages, and are to be submitted electronically to the designated TSA contact at no cost to the Government. Although this notice primarily supports a sole source acquisition strategy, submissions may influence the Government’s decision to pursue competitive procurement. Potential subcontractors should reach out directly to the airport for opportunities.
