AI Contract Overview
The contract solicitation SPE7M226R0003 issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime pertains to the firm-fixed-price procurement of approximately 63 units of a FILTER SUBASSEMBLY identified by NSN 5915-01-664-3880 and manufacturer part number 34000D1420557 (CAGE 4V360, General Atomics). The procured items are intended for delivery to the government stock location at New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, with an expected delivery timeline of about 345 days after contract award. The requirement includes origin inspection with final acceptance at destination, ensuring the FILTER SUBASSEMBLIES meet applicable military and federal specifications, which are accessible via the ASSIST database. The solicitation invites offers from all responsible sources and encourages manufacturers not previously designated to submit a Source Approval Request package. Although price is an important consideration, award criteria will balance price with delivery schedule, past performance, and other evaluation factors as detailed in the full solicitation. The acquisition is governed by the Federal Acquisition Regulation but does not currently specify detailed contractual clauses or finalized special contract requirements beyond those typically associated with firm-fixed-price contracts. The solicitation process is open, with electronic submissions required by May 11, 2026, through the DIBBS website, and is not restricted to small businesses or set aside under any socioeconomic categories. Offerors must be prepared to provide certified cost or pricing data if applicable, demonstrate commercial item status if relevant, and potentially support government first article testing. Packaging is to be aligned with FOB destination terms, although specific preservation or marking instructions are not detailed in the presolicitation documents. Overall, the contract aims to secure compliant, quality FILTER SUBASSEMBLIES under a competitive evaluation framework that balances cost and performance considerations within a Department of Defense supply chain context.
