The City University Construction Fund (CUCF) is seeking a certified public accounting (CPA) firm, certified as a Minority and/or Women Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business Enterprise (SDVOB) by the New York State Empire State Development Corporation, to provide financial audit and tax services for a one-year period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. The selected firm must have at least three years of experience operating within New York State and adhere to standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). The scope includes conducting an independent audit of CUCF’s financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as established by GASB, preparing draft and final reports by specified deadlines, and submitting tax filings to federal and state authorities. Additionally, the firm will present audit findings to CUCF’s Audit Committee. Proposals must be submitted by May 29, 2024, with questions directed to the designated contact email by May 24, 2024. The contract emphasizes full MWBE participation, with a goal of 100%, and does not set aside the contract for SDVOBs.
