FIRE EXTINGUISHER MAINTENANCE AND TESTING

1. Sources are sought to inspect, test, and perform maintenance to portable fire extinguishers for the Electronic Systems Center, 66th Air Base Group, Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. This requirement serves Hanscom AFB, MA consisting with approximating 1115 fire extinguishers. Any resultant solicitation may include the following functions to be performed, subject to change depending on varying mission requirements: a. Remove extinguishers that require service test (6 Year Maintenance) and replace the extinguishers within the facility upon completion of test. Services will be performed in accordance with NFPA 10 standards 2007 edition. b. Thorough check of the extinguishers. Maximum assurance that an extinguisher will operate effectively and safely. It includes a thorough examination and necessary repairs and parts as required. c. Remove all fire extinguishers from facilities requiring six year maintenance. Perform the required maintenance and return extinguishers to their exact location. 2. The duration of this contract including all options is anticipated to be 3 years. 3. The Government does not intend to award this contract on the basis of this notification or otherwise pay for any information related to this notice. This synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, and is not considered to be a commitment by the Government. 4. Responses should include a narrative identifying the scope of past and current services contracted for within the past (3) years, describe capabilities to perform the services described in the synopsis, and include references for each contract. Respondents should ensure their responses are complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine their qualifications and capabilities to perform the assigned work. 5. Contractors must identify their business type [i.e. SDB, (8a), woman owned, service disabled vet-owned, hubzone, small or large.] The responses will serve as a basis for the Government's decision to establish the requirement as an 8 (a), small business set-aside, small business size standard $32.5M, or full and open competition.
