The U.S. Army Contracting Command in Southwest Asia, Kuwait, plans to award a sole source contract to Cocoon Inc. for upgrading the clamshell doors at the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) facility in Sinai, Egypt. This contract arises from corrosion issues identified by the Utility Helicopters Office affecting the helicopter fleet at MFO. Cocoon Inc. will assist military personnel with the installation of three helicopter hanger doors and roll-up door gables. The contract will be firm-fixed price and supply type, with all work performed on-site at MFO. The performance deadline is set for December 20, 2012. Although this notification is for informational purposes and not a solicitation for proposals, other contractors may express interest and submit documentation demonstrating their capability.
