Fire Pump Replacement at Animal Control Center

The City of Sierra Vista is soliciting competitive sealed electronic bids under solicitation 2027-IFB-002 for the replacement of the fire pump system at the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care and Control Center. The project requires a qualified contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to remove the existing diesel fire pump and associated components and install a new diesel engine-driven centrifugal fire pump system. The scope includes system integration with existing fire alarm and monitoring circuits, commissioning and testing in accordance with NFPA 20 and NFPA 25 standards, and the provision of a minimum two-year warranty. All work must be completed by June 30, 2027, with installation occurring during normal business hours from 7am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Bidders must provide an Arizona State Contractor's License, a non-collusion affidavit, and a bid bond for at least 10 percent of the bid amount. Because the project involves Federal Community Development Block Grant funding, the contractor must comply with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements, Equal Employment Opportunity standards, and Section 3 certifications. Required insurance includes statutory Worker's Compensation and minimum 2 million dollar limits for Employer Liability, Commercial General Liability, Commercial Automobile Liability, and Professional Liability. Bids are due electronically via the OpenGov portal by September 25, 2026, at 10:00 am Arizona Time, with original bonding documents submitted via mail.
