Fire safety clearing at Biddle Park, Lopez Lake Recreational Area, and Santa Margarita Lake Recreational Area (ED25-0267)

Cal Fire will conduct fire prevention work at Biddle Park, Lopez Lake Recreational Area, and Santa Margarita Lake Recreational Area by clearing brush and removing dead tree limbs near roads, day use areas, and campgrounds. The work will be performed manually using hand tools to minimize environmental impact and protect the sensitive Santa Margarita Manzanita. The activity is part of a planned initiative to reduce wildfire risks in these publicly used recreational spaces within San Luis Obispo County, California.
