THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Lee, Virginia intends to award a sole source contract to AMEREX DBA Getz Manufacturing in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Acquisition is to provide procurement and delivery of Getz Recovery/Recharger Fire Extinguisher Unit Accessory Parts to support PFN: 91C10G01/G02. This notice of intent is NOT a request for quotation or a solicitation for offers and is posted for ten (15) calendar days. No solicitation package will be available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no affirmative written response is received by 11:30 am EST, 8 March 2016, the contract will be issued without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract is based on this notice and a source sought notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This Sources Sought Synopsis is issued for maximizing competition. Should anything in the requirement be construed as limiting competition, please feel free to contact the MICC Advocate for Competition at dean.m.carsello.civ@mail.mil. Include the subject of the acquisition, this announcement, and the MICC POC information from this FedBizOpps notice. Finally, please provide the specific aspects that unreasonably restrict competition and your rationale. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339999 (All Other Miscellaneous General purpose Machinery Manufacturing) and the Size Standard is 500 Market research is being conducted to determine potential small business sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this notice is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The results of this request may lead to a future synopsis announcement in FEDBIZOPPS as a request for quote.
