The VA requires delivery of three (3) commercial-grade five-well hot food counters. The equipment must meet or exceed the mandatory salient characteristics listed below. Optional features are desirable and vendors are encouraged to indicate which optional features their products support..


All equipment offered must meet each of the following minimum requirements. Offers that do not meet all mandatory characteristics will not be considered:


  1. Countertop Construction: 14-gauge stainless steel countertop with five (5) die-stamped well openings.
  2. Hot Food Wells: Five (5) individual, thermostatically controlled hot food wells, each rated at 1,000 watts.
  3. Drainage System: Well drains plumbed to a common bottom valve to facilitate easy access and cleaning.
  4. Exterior Panels: Stainless steel front and end panels.
  5. Under-Storage: Convenient under-storage area.
  6. Mobility: Heavy-duty No less than 5-inch swivel casters with brakes (non-marking).
  7. Power Supply: Minimum 10-foot external cord and plug assembly, configurable for left or right-hand access.
