AI Contract Overview
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to determine the viability of a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside for the acquisition of three commercial-grade five-well hot food counters for the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center. The equipment must meet stringent mandatory specifications including a 14-gauge stainless steel countertop with five die-stamped well openings, five individual thermostatically controlled hot food wells each rated at 1,000 watts, a drainage system plumbed to a common bottom valve, stainless steel front and end panels, an under-storage area, heavy-duty non-marking swivel casters no less than five inches in diameter with brakes, and a minimum 10-foot external cord and plug assembly configurable for left or right-hand access. All offerings must comply with every mandatory requirement to be considered; failure to meet any single criterion disqualifies the response. Vendors are encouraged to highlight optional features and indicate availability of GSA Schedule pricing or other contract vehicles. The delivery must be completed within 30 to 45 calendar days after award, and the vendor is required to demonstrate full operational functionality of the equipment upon delivery. Responses must be submitted electronically via email to the designated contracting officer by the deadline of June 8, 2026, and are limited to ten pages excluding product brochures. Respondents must provide their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), business size and socioeconomic status certification under NAICS code 333318, current SBA VETCERT certification status, up to three examples of past performance delivering comparable equipment within the last three years, and a rough order of magnitude pricing estimate per unit and for three units inclusive of delivery. The notice is strictly for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or binding commitment to award a contract.
