23796659 Civil work: 1. Excavate piping to allow air-to-ground transition to be sufficiently relocated away from low area where water collects. 2. Construct 5-sided vault allowing piping to transition from being buried to final elevation unobstructed. Piping supports within the vault shall meet UFC requirements. Vault design shall prevent any tidal water intrusion within the vault. 3. Design vault to allow for a low point to allow any rainwater accumulation to be removed. 4. Install pipeline supports within the tidal area as required IAW UFC standards. Pipeline work: 1. Remove piping between excavated areas. 2. Fabricate new section of piping to allow for increased elevation with sweeping transitions to allow for pipeline pigging. 3. Install low point drains in transition vaults. 4. Install high point maintenance vent. Sections of piping are not exposed preventing proper inspection and maintenance creating the potential for excessive corrosion diminishing piping integrity, undetected leaks, and shortened service performance.
