FLIGHT CREW SAFETY TRAINING

The U.S. Marshals Service plans to award sole source purchase orders to AirCare International, Ltd. for providing safety and emergency training specifically designed for pilots and flight crew members. This training will involve both classroom instruction and simulation exercises, all conducted on-site at locations in Alexandria, Louisiana; Mesa, Arizona; and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma during the first quarter of 2009. Each site will train approximately 50 personnel over a two-day period, and AirCare International will supply all instructors, training materials, and simulation equipment necessary for the program. The contract is procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, recognizing AirCare International as the only responsible source. It is designated as a total small business set-aside under FAR 19.5 and carries the NAICS code 611519, related to training services. The Department of Justice’s Justice Prisoner Air Transportation System office in Arlington, Virginia, serves as the contracting office, with Arlene Dee Carlson as the contracting officer.
