AI Contract Overview

The contract involves the rehabilitation of flood protection measures along Saw Mill Run in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, under the authority of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District. The project encompasses two designated work areas: the downstream segment, approximately 780 feet long near Violet Way and Neptune Street, and the upstream segment, about 460 feet near the intersection of Wabash Street and Greentree Road. Key activities include repairing revetment mats, addressing scour holes, and restoring damaged access ramps, with specific work sections funded by federal resources and others deferred to the City of Pittsburgh for maintenance. The federal funds primarily cover damages such as revetment mat deterioration and scour, while the sponsor-deferred work involves additional repairs to access ramps and scour mitigation. The contract is set as a Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 237990, with responses due by January 14, 2025. The project emphasizes structured processes for change orders and equitable adjustments, with resources available online for detailed procedures.
