Iowa Industry to Classroom Academy CTE Teacher Mentoring Grant Program
Solicitation # 685608
The Iowa Industry to Classroom Academy is a pilot mentoring program launched by the Iowa Department of Education to recruit and retain career and technical education teachers transitioning directly from industry. The program pairs new or emerging CTE teachers, who possess specialized industry skills but lack formal pedagogical training, with experienced mentors for two years. This collaboration is designed to reduce professional isolation and help mentees progress from an initial CTE Authorization to a full five-year authorization. The initial pilot focuses on Family and Consumer Sciences teachers before expanding to all CTE content areas. The program is built upon four pillars: educator retention, instructional excellence, educator well-being, and continuous reflective practice. Over the two-year cycle spanning 2026 to 2028, mentees must complete six core pedagogy areas, including human relations, CTE teaching methods, and curriculum development. Financial support includes a 1,000 dollar total tuition and fee reimbursement for mentees and a 4,000 dollar total stipend for mentors. Additional reimbursements are available for travel, meals, lodging, and substitute pay. Participants are required to engage in monthly meetings, classroom observations, and a capstone project, while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding program interactions. Mentees' districts serve as fiscal agents to manage grant funds via IowaGrants.

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) requires contractor technical and administrative support services for a firm fixed price to provide 3 convening's of a 5-day course on flood response in the urban environment. The course objective is to prepare students to utilize response platforms and specialized equipment in the flooded urban environment, flooded waterways and bays, enclosed ports, and any other flood effected area. The vendor must address Awareness, Operations, and Technical level job performance requirements in NFPA 1006 Chapter 16, 17, and 22. The vender is not required to meet the swift-water requirements for Technician Level, but should address swift-water awareness to students. The USCG is NOT a swift-water rescue asset. The training delivered will include USCG Subject Matter Experts (SME) as part of the hands-on training.

Solicitation # USCG-RB-S-III-2026
The United States Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to design, build, test, and deliver the Response Boat, Small Third Generation (RB-S III) to replace the aging 29-foot RB-S II fleet. This small business set-aside acquisition involves the procurement of up to 400 boats for the USCG and 100 modified variants for other federal agencies. The contractor will be responsible for providing the vessels, trailers, full logistics and supply support, technical documentation, and configuration management. The RB-S III is intended for diverse missions, including search and rescue, migrant interdiction, and law enforcement. The government intends to award up to four Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts with a ten-year ordering period, consisting of a five-year base and a five-year option. The acquisition follows a two-phase methodology: Phase I involves the award of the IDIQ contracts based on technical and conceptual designs, and Phase II requires each awardee to build a demonstration vessel for an in-water evaluation. Ultimately, one contractor will be selected for the remaining production orders. The contracts will utilize Firm-Fixed-Price and Fixed-Price with Economic Price Adjustment line items.
