The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Federal Medical Center (FMC) Devens, Massachusetts, anticipates the issuance of a solicitation for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project titled Replace Boiler Burners (3) with condensate and deaerator tank for FMC Devens located at 42 Patton Road, Ayer, Massachusetts, 01432.
The awarded contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and incidentals required to remove and replace temporary bypass systems, and factory-authorized commissioning services necessary to replace the burner assemblies on three (3) 23,450,000 BTU/hr. (700 HP) high-pressure steam York-Shipley Donlee Technologies, Inc., YSH-700-N/2 boiler burners. Contractor to replace the existing separate deaerator tanks and condensate tank systems with one (1) each new integrated, packaged combination Deaerator and Condensate Surge Tank system. Contractor to furnish and install comprehensive thermal insulation on all modified, new, and affected steam, boiler feedwater, condensate, and fuel oil piping.
